On the first Monday after Easter in Luxembourg, a traditional pottery fair called Éimaischen takes place at the Fish Market square near the Grand Ducal Palace. The main item at this fair is the Péckvillercher, a clay whistle shaped like a bird that produces a sound similar to a cuckoo's song. A similar traditional fair is held in the village of Nospelt in western Luxembourg, known for its potters. There, you can also visit a remarkable pottery museum.
